Are You Opposed to Long Term Wealth?

A morning phone call...

Me: Hello? Hello? (no response on the other end and I start to hang up.)

Telemarketer: (a split second before I hang up...) Afton?

Me: (bringing the phone back to my ear) Yes?

Telemarketer: I'm calling about an application you filled out on line about making income from home.

Me: Oh, actually, I never filled out an application. A while back there must have been a computer virus or something that...

Telemarketer: (cutting me off) Let me just ask you this question. Are you opposed to long term wealth?

Me: Yes, actually, I am. Thanks for calling and have a nice day! (click.)

Those blasted telemarketers! We sometimes say funny things to them, like once Ryan answered the phone and they asked for him and he said "he passed away" or Pierce (since we have caller ID) will pick up the phone and answer it by saying a bunch of jibberish stuff in this goofy voice and then hang up. Horrible, I know, but I can't help but laugh inside when this happens! (Thanks for the BD link by the way--soooo good!)

Sorry, I hope my comment didn't sound too insensitive. I'm working on that. Ü

Erika, not at all. Remember Seinfeld's solution? "This isn't a good time, why don't you give me your home number and I'll call you back. What? You don't want me calling you at home? Well, now you know how I feel!"

I wish I had the guts to say that. :)
